Operate forklift to transport materials to and from storage areas, workstations, and within other areas of assignment Load, transport, unload, and stack materials in accordance with established procedures Maintain up-to-date forklift certification Communicate non-compliance and/or quality problems to supervisor and/or shift lead Clean and maintain housekeeping of finished goods storage areaWhat you need to be successful:Ability to inspect the forklift using the "forklift checklist" to ensure proper operation and safety compliance of the vehicle prior to daily operation Ability to safely accurately select and load material properly to meet customer and production requirementsAbility to communicate effectivelyAbility to read and understand material tags and work orders Ability to use tape measures, micrometers, and calipers Knowledge of and ability to comply with safety rules and requirements Knowledge of and ability to comply with forklift trainingWhy The Shyft Group?We believe that when our people thrive personally and professionally, our business thrives.
