THE POSITION Friedman Vartolo LLP is seeking an experienced Foreclosure Attorney who is capable of handling appearance and related loss mitigation activities to join our growing team. We're looking for bright, enthusiastic individuals, who will bring a strong work ethic and eagerness to grow alongside the firm. QUALIFICATIONS JD from an accredited law school; Admitted to practice in Maryland; At least five (5) years of civil litigation experience in federal and Maryland state courts; Experience with mortgage foreclosure law, secured transactions, FDCPA, state and federal consumer protection laws, and general commercial litigation preferred; Superb legal analysis, legal writing and editing ability Outstanding organizational, interpersonal communication, problem solving, and teamwork skills; RESPONSIBILITES Independently manage a foreclosure caseload, working cases from beginning to end; Communicate with clients and investors to effectuate loss mitigation resolutions, where applicable. Work with and oversee support staff. REQUIRMENTS 5+ years of experience handling foreclosure matters in Maryland Superior organizational skills Ability to meet strict deadlines Leadership qualities, ability to manage support staff Independent worker COMPENSATION Compensation is competitive and will be commensurate with experience.
