Primary Purpose: The Warehouse Associate plays a crucial role in the daily operations of the warehouse, typically handling various tasks related to the storage, handling, packing, and distribution of food to those who are homebound. Staff will interact with the local community, including but not limited to, staff, clients, donors, and volunteers. Essential Functions: Properly packaging and bagging items for delivery, ensuring they are secure and correctly labeled. Accepting deliveries, unloading trucks, and verifying that the correct items have been received. Placing food products in designated areas within the warehouse. Using pallet jacks, or other machinery to move products within the warehouse. Adhering to safety protocols, especially in handling perishable goods and operating equipment Ensuring the warehouse is clean and meets food safety and hygiene standards. Repeatedly raising and positioning materials above shoulder height, which may involve placing items on shelves, loading onto pallets, or transferring to higher storage racks. Safely lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds from ground level to overhead storage areas. Ensuring proper lifting techniques are followed to avoid injury. Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED . Bi l i ngu a l / B i c u l t u ral p r e f e r r e d (English/Spanish). Prior experience in a warehouse, logistics, or distribution environment a p l u s . Required to lift 50 pounds or more . Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks for extended periods. Ability to count items, measure dimensions or weights, and verify shipments. Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in order picking, packing, and distributing. Ability to communicate clearly with team members and supervisors. Experience or willingness to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment ; ide n tify a n d support the m i ssi o n o f N ew R each Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and meet deadlines Expectations: Have a solutions-based approach to presented problems. Be supportive, engaging and encouraging to peers and staff. Be adaptable to change and willing to take on more responsibility.
