Job Summary: Reporting to the Senior Manager, Finance & Business Systems, the incumbent is responsible for the on-going support of Finance information systems, including testing, implementation, training, and documentation of various short- and long-term Finance projects and system changes. Financial systems include, but are not limited to, Banner Finance (Student Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Tri-Council and Document Management System), Banner Self-Service and Workflow, the FAST Applications, Concur Travel and Expense Reporting, and Touch Net Information Systems. Nature of work: To whom does the position report? Senior Manager, Finance & Business Systems Responsibilities/accountabilities: The incumbent assists in ensuring that the financial systems continuously meet the demands of Finance clients, divisional office staff, and University administration and Services thereby requiring a highly developed functional knowledge of the student, finance and general operating systems used to support the Finance Department, Business Operations, and Research Accounting areas. As such, the incumbent is responsible for: Troubleshooting and quickly resolving functional process problem's Developing solutions and testing the functionality of the systems Training and maintaining up-to-date documentation Monitoring and maintaining systems security and access Reviewing and testing system software upgrades As new projects arise, the incumbent is responsible for engaging customers, both internal and external to the Finance division, to define requirements, reviewing system designs to ensure requirements are met, analyzing alternative system solutions, and performing tasks related to the implementation of system enhancements/changes. The incumbent will work closely with the Manager, IT, external vendors, and clients, when necessary, to ensure the smooth transition to the new system or change.
