Today, we are an inclusive, multi-lingual and immigrant-led nonprofit serving new refugees and immigrants including Minnesota's Asian, East and West African, and Latinx communities, as well as underserved US born communities. Over 11,000 individuals are served annually across three core service areas of Basic Needs, Economic Empowerment and Civic Engagement. Description of responsibilities: (Summary of Responsibilities) The Family Resource Navigator will work closely with eligible New American clients, helping them to adjust to life in the US and become increasingly self-sufficient. They will identify client needs, create plans to meet each need, and leverage community partners and Resettlement Network agencies to connect families to appropriate resources. The Navigator will be collaborating closely with resettlement network partners, AmeriCorps members, and other partner agencies while also complying with program contracts and documentation policies.Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:30-4:30. May be required to work occasional evenings and weekends. Required experience: Bachelor's degree in a related field or 2 years of related experience Experience in a non-profit preferred Valid MN driver's license and proof of auto insurance. Must own a vehicle and be willing to transport clients Proven experience working with diverse populations and knowledge of cultural competence Experience in resettlement services or case management preferred Required skills: Key Skills Ability to work with clients to provide person-centered and culturally appropriate case management tailored to each family's individual needs Ability to record and maintain accurate case management data and provide monthly reports Demonstrated experience working with diverse populations and knowledge of cultural competence Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Fluency in English; preferred fluency in either Spanish or Ukrainian Ability to adapt to changing circumstances, communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues, and demonstrate sound judgement in all interactions Ability to demonstrate a high degree of professionalism in communication, attitude, and teamwork with CAPI's clients, staff, and management Ability to produce high quality work, with attention to detail and consistent follow through Ability to exercise sound and rational judgement when assisting all visitors and answering questions Able to work effectively in a mission-driven agency whose clients and staff exhibit significant diversity with respect to race, ethnicity, gender orientation, socio-economic status, nationality, and religion Ability and skills to manage time effectively, including prioritizing work and meeting deadlines Knowledge and Ability to use & adapt to different technology tools, including MS Office programs and databases; MRIS experience preferred To apply: Please go this link: Job Listings - CAPI USA Jobs Closing date: Open until filled Our benefits package includes full coverage of premiums for First Stop Health for all employees, health insurance with generous employer contributions to a Health Savings Account for those enrolled in a High Deductible Plan, dental insurance, and participation in our agency-sponsored retirement plan with up to a 3% employer match.
