Our law firm is seeking a family attorney who can assist our clients in navigating the sensitive legal issues of family law, including child custody, child abuse, and domestic violence. Jobseekers should be equally familiar with prenuptial agreements, divorce, alimony, and child support, and be able to effectively engage in oral debate and negotiation even in highly stressful and emotional situations. Responsibilities: • Collaborate with senior partners and paralegals to effectively move files through the civil litigation process• Prepare legal documents such as legal pleadings, motions, marital settlement agreements, contracts, judgments, and orders for a high volume of cases• Keep client files properly organized and up to date• Divide marital assets, including real estate, when necessary during divorce proceedings• Ensure clients are effectively represented at court hearings as needed Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree with a legal background and J.D. degree are required• Active member of the ABA (American Bar Association)• Great negotiation and communication skills, particularly in stressful and emotional situations• Must have worked on family law issues for at least 1-2 years Compensation: $90,000 - $120,000 yearly About Company: Edens Law Group has been serving Chester, New Jersey since 1994.
