Duties:Conduct research and develop case information, evidence, and settlement optionsTrack cases and maintain case recordsHandle trial preparations with senior attorneysExecute case strategy with senior attorneys, paralegals, clients, and support staffManage high-level and high-asset cases by maintaining contact with involved parties, drafting pleadings and correspondence, and preparing for depositionsKeep clients informed of case progress and updatesSupport case planning by preparing case summaries, materials for mediation conferences, and organizing case materialsManage the discovery process, including review and analysis of discovery responses, preparation of requests, responses, pleadings, and correspondence related to discoveryAssist with trial proceedings by organizing evidence, preparing exhibits, scheduling witnesses, and ensuring witness readinessAttend business development and networking functions Requirements:Maryland and DC Bar admission required1-5 years of experience in family lawExcellent writing and analytical skillsStrong academic credentials Education:Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an accredited law school Certifications:Maryland and DC Bar admission Skills:Strong writing and analytical skillsCase management and trial preparation abilitiesCommunication and client management skills Benefits:Health and dental insurancePaid holidays, vacation, and sick leave401(k) retirement plan This firm is small, but progressive and growing.
