The Executive Pastor will provide executive leadership at the highest levels of Bayside Church in the areas of church operations. This role will report to the Global Executive Pastor.Position Description Priority 1 – Model a growing, thriving relationship with Jesus Christ. Vibrant devotional & worship life, personal growth goal setting, support group involvement Priority 2 – Model a thriving relationship with your wife and family Priority 3 – Maintain a duty of loyalty to Senior Pastor, the Bayside Board, and Vision of Bayside Church. Remove potential conflicts of interest as requested by the Board. General Responsibilities Connect regularly with the Global Executive Pastor to assure Bayside operations are executed at the highest level of quality, stewardship, and staffing (including volunteers). Assist the Senior Pastor and Global Executive Pastor in providing execution of Bayside’s vision. Be present at worship services and strategic special events as directed. Maintain personal physical, emotional, and spiritual health, marriage and family life, while practicing a deepening walk with Jesus Christ. Meet regularly with the Global Executive Pastor to update progress within Bayside operations. Help develop (with the Senior Pastor and Global Executive Pastor) the agendas and materials for Board, Ministry Managers and Pastoral meetings and retreats as it relates to church operations. Provide oversight to all church operations ensuring quality implementation within the budget of the church. Perform other pastoral duties as directed by the Global Executive Pastor. Specific Responsibilities - under the direction of the Global Executive Pastor: Budget In collaboration with the Global Vision Team and the finance department, provide the “first pass” at Bayside’s budget. Structure Establish, with input from the Global Vision Team, the “first pass” organizational structure and operating systems to ensure the achievement of strategic objectives. Help define desired policies, values and operating environment in collaboration with the Global Vision Team. Collaboration Help establish successful alliances, joint ventures and collaborative relationships with other entities from an operational point of view (Bayside campuses, Senior Campus Pastors, Thriving Churches International, and other organizations as directed by the Senior Pastor and Global Executive Pastor. Operations Provide leadership and oversight to the Bayside Print Shop, Facilities, Finance, IT, HR and Construction. Evaluation Method: Self-appraisal twice yearly and annual performance review by Senior Pastor or designee.
