Job description Join our team at the Framingham History Center's Village Hall on the Common and play a crucial role in supporting our mission as a non-profit institution. As an Event Chaperone, you will be the face of the Framingham History Center, ensuring that our guests have a memorable and seamless experience while renting our historic hall built in 1834. Serve as the onsite representative for the Framingham History Center during events, which may include weddings, birthdays, business meetings, and bar/bat mitzvah. Provide exceptional support to guests, ensuring they have everything needed for a successful event. Adjust room temperatures and assist in minor rearrangements of tables and chairs to accommodate guest needs. Oversee the Village Hall’s security, maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for all guests. Promptly address and clean up minor spills or incidents during events (note: we have a separate cleaning and maintenance crew for clean up after the event). Produce reports post-event as needed, including any damage or accident reports. Qualification Requirements Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on guest service. Ability to work independently and make decisions in a sometimes fast-paced environment. Basic problem-solving skills and adaptability. A sense of responsibility and attention to detail. Ability to lift 40 lbs. Fluent in English (bilingual is a plus, but not required!) Interest in history and preservation is a plus.
