Lyngblomsten Care Center is looking for an evening Janitor for general cleaning of building, trash removal and floor care including sweeping, mopping, waxing and buffing. Hours will be 2:00pm to 9:30pm including every other weekend. QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of floor care procedures Ability to use equipment to care for flooring Able to follow both written and oral instructions and work independently Able to relate to residents with respect and courtesy JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintaining all floor surfaces using the appropriate chemicals, procedures and equipment e.g. auto scrubber, extractor, buffer Cleaning of and set-up for 5-5-1 Club offices and events Completing all mandatory inservice training on time Dusting down and sweeping and mopping of stairwells Removal all trash and recycling in the building according to a schedule and to dispose of it properly Maintain the cleanliness of all the trash and recycling containers and replace can liners as needed Cleaning/disinfecting of all common areas and staff bathrooms including cleaning toilets, sinks, mirrors, walls, pipes, vents, floors and dispensers. Ensure that all dispensers are filled Sweeping, dust mopping, vacuuming and wet mopping of all floors in dining rooms, hallways and Lyngblomsten is an award-winning Christian nonprofit organization serving older adults through healthcare, housing, and community-based services since 1906.
