The firm offers a hybrid work environment and opportunities for professional growth within a collaborative team.Location:Detroit, MIDuties:Prepare estate planning documents, including revocable trusts, wills, powers of attorney, and various irrevocable trusts (e.g., GST/Dynasty trusts, GRATs, QPRTs).Administer complex trusts and estates independently.Conduct legal research and advise clients on estate, gift, and income tax matters.Provide guidance on corporate matters and prepare formation and governance documents (e.g., operating agreements, buy-sell agreements).Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and professional advisors.Mentor associates and team members, providing guidance on assignments.Delegate tasks to associates, paralegals, and legal secretaries, overseeing their work.Manage multiple large projects, ensuring efficient task prioritization and client communication.Requirements:Minimum of 8 years of experience in estate planning and high-net-worth client services.Demonstrated expertise in trust and estate administration and tax planning.Education:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:Active admission to the Michigan State Bar.Skills:Proficiency in drafting estate planning documents and handling complex estate and tax matters.Strong client relationship management and communication skills.Ability to mentor and guide team members effectively.Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple high-priority projects.Benefits:Competitive compensation package.Hybrid work model with flexible working arrangements.Opportunities for professional development and mentorship within the firm.
