The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in drafting estate planning documents and managing trust and estate administration. This position offers an opportunity to work closely with seniors and families, guiding them through the complexities of estate planning and elder law. The attorney will collaborate with a skilled legal team while maintaining a client-focused approach.Location:Northville, MI Duties:Draft comprehensive estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directivesManage trust and estate administration, including probate, trust funding, and distributionConduct client meetings to present estate planning strategies and provide ongoing legal supportCollaborate with colleagues to ensure that client matters are handled efficiently and accuratelyProvide guidance on elder law issues, including Medicaid planning (if applicable)Maintain high standards of client service and confidentialityRequirements:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law schoolActive Bar membership in MichiganMinimum of 3 years of experience in estate planning, trust, and estate administrationStrong drafting skills and meticulous attention to detail in estate planning documentsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to manage multiple client matters simultaneously and effectivelyKnowledge of Medicaid planning and elder law is a plusEducation:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law schoolCertifications:Active membership in the Michigan State BarSkills:Proficient in drafting estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, and powers of attorneyStrong organizational and time-management skillsExcellent client-facing communication skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a collaborative teamKnowledge of estate administration processes, including probate and trust fundingFamiliarity with Medicaid planning and elder law (preferred)Benefits:Competitive salaryComprehensive benefits package (healthcare, dental, vision, etc.)Professional development and career growth opportunities
