Responsibilities:• Assist in preparing closing documents including deed packets, settlement statements, escrow files, and closing statements under the guidance of escrow officers• Ensure timely completion of escrow transactions by understanding contracts, commitments, and lender instructions thoroughly• Manage earnest money funds and final disbursement from the escrow account following appropriate accounting procedures• Execute pre-closing and post-closing tasks as assigned• Collaborate with various parties such as title insurance representatives, loan officers, real estate agents, and clients to facilitate the closing process• Provide administrative and clerical support to the escrow officer for seamless escrow transactions and follow-up requests Qualifications:• Previous experience in clerical, secretarial, and administrative support roles is required• A high school diploma or GED is mandatory, with some college education preferred• Proficiency in Microsoft Office is a must, while experience with escrow software is advantageous• Strong problem-solving, customer service, time management, and communication skills are essential• Preferably 2-3 years of experience as a residential or commercial escrow assistant Compensation: $15 - $20 hourly About Company: Tallgrass Title is a full-service title insurance and escrow company that serves Kansas.
