Job Title : Environmental Health & Safety Manager Location : Stephenville, TX Duration : 3 Months with option to extend (Immediate Start) Type : 1099 Contractor Compensation : Hourly Rate : $50/hr or $60/hr for local candidates Per Diem : $115/day (if >50 miles from Stephenville, TX) Completion Bonus : $150/month Pay : Weekly Schedule : Hours : Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM (40 hrs/week) Project Scope :The EHS Manager will oversee the safety of a plastic manufacturing facility, conduct general EHS audits, and collaborate with site management to address any safety deficiencies. Qualifications : Experience : 5+ years in environmental health and safety, specifically in manufacturing. Certifications : Current OSHA 10 certification required Principal Duties & Responsibilities : Leads the implementation and management of plant-wide compliance efforts with federal, state/local environmental laws and regulations. Strictly follows facility Environmental Health and Safety Program calendar. Updates calendar regarding status. Conduct New Hire and Contractor/Vendor Safety Orientation Develop and provide training for all shifts on all necessary topics of the Company's Environmental Health and Safety Program Maintains and updates EHS information (dashboards, charts, and graphs) and communicates safety metrics. Prepare and coordinate with Environmental Consultant on the submittal of all Environmental Health and Safety programs as required by management, Federal, State and Local agencies. Lead investigation of accidents and incidents as to the cause and the actions to be taken to prevent recurrence. Work closely with production management and Human Resources Department regarding injury claims, and work restrictions. Participate in facility Emergency Operating Response Team. Act as coordinator for the Storm Water Pollution Prevention and the Pollution Prevention teams. Maintain all EHS training documentation as required by corporate and federal/state standards. Chair the Company's Safety Committees and assist in their operation and activities. Responsible for conducting frequent walks throughout the production facility to ensure proper practices are being observed and to respond to any unsafe/dangerous acts, faulty equipment, or non-compliance with any safety or environmentally related policies/regulation Knowledge : Strong understanding of OSHA regulations, EHS standards, and manufacturing safety practices (e.g., machine guarding, LOTO, PPE, materials handling). Skills : Excellent public speaking and communication abilities. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel). Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and multitasking. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Experience with OSHA outreach training is a plus. Confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive information.
