Environmental Customer Support Technician

Job Description Q&A Diversified is looking for an Environmental Customer Support Technician (ESCT). This position supports the Compliance Management Branch and is responsible for providing environmental technical expertise and ensuring compliance throughout the facilities, as well as the units within the Public Works Environmental Division at Fort Johnson. Specific Tasks and Responsibilities Include: Track the operational condition of all used oil and contaminated fuel receptacles (there are currently 78) on the installation and submit a service order for pumping when a receptacle is 75% full. Service all solvent tanks (there are currently 110) on the installation. Servicing shall include adding solvent when required, cleaning and changing filters as necessary and distilling used solvent as needed. Service all oil filter crushers (there are currently 30) on the installation. Servicing shall include cleaning and changing filters as necessary and proper disposal of all liquid and solid remains. Coordinate hazardous waste disposal within each Functional Area or Unit, including all satellite accumulation areas (SAA). There are currently 86 SAAs on Johnson. Document all services performed on Veeder-Root systems (there are currently 4). Coordinate with AAFES and DPW O&M to ensure repairs of AAFES UST systems. Maintain an installation-wide inventory of all P2 equipment existing and/or acquired during the performance period. Perform quarterly environmental compliance assessments at 104 specific locations. These Assessments shall be coordinated and conducted with the Environmental Compliance Officer (ECO). Assessments shall consist of all the requirements identified in the JRTC and Johnson Regulation 200-1 and as required by Federal, State and Army environmental regulations. A report shall be submitted quarterly detailing these assessments. Provide Environmental Performance Audit System (EPAS) support in accordance with Army Regulation (AR) 200-1 specifications and ensure assigned area meets specifications. The Contractor will support one internal or external annual audit. Provide support for Hazardous Materials Pharmacy (HAZMART) activities for the functional areas, technical guidance on hazardous material (HM) and hazardous waste (HW) storage and disposition, and maintain copies of ECO appointment orders, and required documents for all ECOs assigned to the functional area(s). If needed help with pick-up and delivery all Hazardous Materials and Hazardous Waste. Conduct quarterly inspections, corrective actions, and updates with ECO. Provide monthly reports and weekly reports. Conduct unit quarterly hazardous material inventory. Conduct environmental compliance briefings and training of Environmental Compliance Officers, Leaders, and Observer Controller Trainers as needed. Member of a 24/7 emergency spill response team. Specific Qualifications: High school degree, GED required. Knowledge and experience conducting technical environmental support. Excellent written and oral communication skills a must. Military background preferred. Experience with MS Windows OS and Office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Required. Excellent time management and organizational skills. Self-starter with ability to work independently and meet strict government and regulatory reporting requirements. A valid drivers license is required to travel or operate government or company vehicles and equipment. Ability to pass a government background investigation and maintain requirements for keeping a Common Access Card (CAC) and Information Technology (IT) access.
