This role offers a valuable opportunity for professional growth within a supportive environment. The attorney will work directly with clients, manage their caseload, and collaborate closely with a team of dedicated legal professionals.Duties:Explain complex immigration concepts and offer strategic solutions tailored to clients' needs.Represent detained and non-detained clients in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals.Manage and organize an individual caseload efficiently.Conduct intake interviews and consultations with detained individuals at detention centers.Prepare and file a variety of immigration applications, such as removal defense and family-based petitions.Review and adjust immigration application packets as required.Engage with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community organizations on evolving immigration law.Meet with potential clients for strategic consultations, developing tailored strategies for their cases.Prepare clients and witnesses for court and USCIS testimony.Analyze cases to determine potential benefits and legal strategies.Draft and submit legal briefs for various immigration matters.Requirements:Minimum of 1 year of experience in Immigration Law.Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.Preferred bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.Strong interpersonal skills, capable of building and maintaining client relationships.Demonstrated experience in managing legal cases and caseloads independently.Experience in family-based petitions, humanitarian cases, EOIR, citizenship, and other USCIS applications.Familiarity with case management software is preferred.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Active license to practice law.Certifications:Admission to the Bar in any U.S. state, with preference given to those admitted in California.Skills:Strong legal research and writing skills.Ability to analyze complex immigration issues and present clear strategies.Excellent communication and negotiation skills.Organizational skills to manage multiple cases efficiently.Client-focused with an ability to handle sensitive cases compassionately.Job Location:Sacramento, CABenefits:Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance.401(k) retirement plan.Paid time off and holidays.Complimentary parking.Opportunities for career development and professional growth.A supportive work environment with team-building activities.
