Practice Area: Litigation - General (consumer), Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Job Overview:A prominent law firm specializing in consumer protection and Lemon Law litigation is seeking an Entry-Level Associate Attorney for its Roseville, California office. The position offers a unique opportunity for junior attorneys to gain hands-on experience in various phases of litigation, working closely with senior attorneys and partners. The ideal candidate will have between 6 months and 3 years of experience and will possess a strong desire to advocate for consumer rights in cases against automobile manufacturers and dealers.Location:Roseville, CaliforniaDuties:Written Discovery:Draft discovery requests and responses.Review document productions and participate in e-discovery.Prepare discovery responses for consumer clients.Law Motion Work:Draft motions related to discovery disputes.Respond to pleading challenges.Prepare for and participate in oral arguments, case management conferences, and ex parte requests.Depositions:Attend and defend depositions of consumer clients.Take depositions of percipient witnesses.Vehicle Inspections:Attend vehicle inspections with expert witnesses.Other Responsibilities:Report and bill hours worked in a timely manner.Opportunities for growth into more complex motions, depositions, and trial preparation tasks.Assist with additional tasks as assigned by partners.Requirements:6 months to 3 years of litigation experience as a California-licensed attorney.Ability to manage competing priorities in a busy legal environment.Willingness to travel within California for court appearances, vehicle inspections, and depositions.Ability to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.Education:Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school.Certifications:Active member in good standing with the California Bar.Skills:Strong interest in consumer protection and advocacy.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Proficient in MS Office, Westlaw, and Outlook.Organizational skills and attention to deadlines.Problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate complex legal issues.Willingness to work in a team-oriented environment and adopt technology solutions.Bilingual in Spanish (preferred but not required).Benefits:Competitive compensation package.HMO/PPO medical plans, PPO dental, and vision insurance.Short-term and long-term disability plans.Basic life insurance and 401(k) plan with contributions up to 10%.529 plan and pet insurance.Comprehensive training and mentorship by senior attorneys and partners.Weekly breakfast provided for staff.Hybrid work schedule with optional work-from-home days on Mondays and Fridays.
