Remote candidates will be considered on a case-by-case basis. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience advising businesses on the full range of health and welfare plans, including compliance with relevant laws and regulations, negotiating service provider agreements, and resolving issues related to the administration of these plans. Strong experience in providing proactive counsel on compliance and litigation matters is essential.Location:Cincinnati, OHDuties:Provide legal advice on all aspects of health and welfare plans, including wrap plans, cafeteria plans, and flexible benefits arrangementsCounsel clients on compliance with the Affordable Care Act (ACA), COBRA, HIPAA, Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act, and other relevant regulationsAdvise on TiC (Transparency in Coverage) and CAA 21 (Consolidated Appropriations Act) complianceDraft and negotiate service provider agreements for health and welfare plansResolve legal issues related to the administration of health and welfare plansOffer proactive counsel to employers on compliance and litigation issues affecting health and welfare employee benefit plansRequirements:Significant experience advising on health and welfare employee benefits mattersStrong understanding of ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, and other regulatory frameworksExpertise in drafting and negotiating service provider agreementsExperience providing proactive legal advice on compliance and litigation issuesStrong interpersonal and client management skillsAbility to manage complex legal matters and provide strategic adviceEducation:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law schoolCertifications:Licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdictionSkills:Expertise in health and welfare employee benefits regulationsStrong drafting, writing, and negotiation skillsExcellent problem-solving and analytical abilitiesAbility to work independently and collaboratively within a teamStrong communication and client relationship management skillsBenefits:Competitive compensation and benefits packageFlexibility with office location and remote work optionsOpportunities for career growth and professional development This prestigious general practice firm manages its practice groups efficiently and matter-of-factly.
