Remote candidates may also be considered on a case-by-case basis. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive legal advice on health and welfare benefit plans, including regulatory compliance, plan administration, and negotiation of service provider agreements. This role requires strong experience in proactive counseling on compliance and litigation issues related to health and welfare plans.Location:Cleveland, OHDuties:Advise businesses on all aspects of health and welfare benefit plans, including wrap plans, cafeteria plans, and flexible benefits arrangementsProvide counsel on Affordable Care Act (ACA), COBRA, HIPAA, Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act, and other relevant lawsDraft and negotiate service provider agreements for employee benefit plansEnsure compliance with TiC and CAA 21 regulationsResolve issues related to the administration of health and welfare benefit plansOffer proactive legal advice on compliance, regulatory, and litigation issues affecting employee health and welfare benefit plansCollaborate with clients to develop solutions for benefit plan-related matters and mitigate potential risksRequirements:Significant experience in health and welfare benefit plan legal mattersIn-depth knowledge of ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, and related compliance requirementsProven ability to draft and negotiate service provider agreementsStrong experience providing legal advice to employers on health and welfare plan compliance and litigation issuesExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approachAbility to manage complex client needs in a fast-paced environmentEducation:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law schoolCertifications:Licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdictionSkills:Expertise in health and welfare plan regulations and complianceExcellent negotiation and drafting skillsStrong interpersonal and client communication abilitiesAbility to work independently and collaboratively within a teamDetail-oriented with the ability to handle complex regulatory issuesBenefits:Competitive compensation packageFlexible office and remote work optionsOpportunities for professional development and career advancement The legal practice was founded in 1911.
