Emergency Medicine - Physician Job Description Visa Opportunities J1 Visa Location Cap Exempt Hospital Details As the area s only full-service hospital, Springfield Regional Medical Center was built in 2011 and provides comprehensive medical services for the residents of Clark County and surrounding communities. Critical Care Average Daily Encounters: 19 Staffing model: 3 physicians and 4 APPs The team includes advanced care practitioners with substantiative experience managing ICU patients and performing procedures The critical care unit is a mixed medical-surgical unit supporting a growing cardiovascular surgery program and neurology program Emergency Department ED Volume: 42,000 ED Beds: 30 EMR: Epic with Dragon The ED was built in 2011 and is arranged in two acute care zones with a rapid assessment zone to maintain patient flow Combined admission and transfer rate is approximately 30% Broad specialty support is available within the community setting, including cardiothoracic surgery, vascular surgery, critical care, interventional radiology, pulmonology, cardiology, and interventional neurology EM ultrasound Dedicated ED case management and clinical pharmacist EMS coordinator assists with an active EMS program Pre-hospital EMS activation for acute strokes and STEMI's Primary Stroke Center with OSU telestroke partnership Pre-hospital EMS activation for acute strokes and STEMI's Radiology interpretation of all studies available 24 hours per day Hospitalist Service Average Daily Encounters: 186 Hospitalist team: 24 physicians, 4 APPs Flexible schedule with an emphasis on work-life balance Primary Stroke Center Excellent support from medical and surgical specialties represented on the medical staff Procedures optional with critical care, anesthesiology, and interventional radiology support available Outstanding program with advancement opportunities available Rapid Response Teams are available 24/7 Community The lovely town of Springfield is located 25 miles northeast of Dayton and 45 miles west of Columbus.
