Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering Intern

Position overview: As part of the Electrical, Instrumentation and Controls (EI&C) team you will work collaboratively with a cross-functional engineering team focusing on Electrical and Instrumentation. You will participate in a wide range of design review meetings and help with developing the control panel design and performing calculations related to instrumentation selection for water and wastewater treatment systems. Nature of work: In this role, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to): ● Collaborate in project design review meetings. ● Help create single line diagrams, load lists and control panel schematic drawings. ● Perform required calculations to select the appropriate instrumentation for water treatment facilities and prepare supporting documentation (instrument & valve lists, instrument & valve datasheets, instrument installation diagrams, etc. ). ● Contribute to the development of company standards and templates. ● Develop team productivity tools. ● Support with project issue resolution related to design, start-up and performance. Ideal Applicant: ● Passion for the environment and water treatment. ● Self-motivated, quick to deliver, and a team player. ● Able to demonstrate a dedication to safety and effective problem-solving skills. ● Ability to communicate effectively verbally and through technical writing. ● Comfortable with a fast-paced, collaborative, work environment. ● Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain relationships with co-workers. Minimum requirements: ● Currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Science or Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Software, Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other related technical discipline.
