Early Childhood Online Community Specialist

Description:
The Early Childhood Online Community Specialist will be a key member of the BLH project team supporting, maintaining, and enhancing social platforms that support peer collaboration and information sharing among individuals engaged with early childhood education (such as Head Start teachers and program managers, childcare providers, researchers, federal and state officials). Working with the project team, you will leverage your experience with online communities to serve as a content manager, community lead, and system administrator who encourages a positive, collaborative culture on online platforms.Duties include but are not limited to: Ensuring the platform encourages user engagement and peer collaboration. Creating and maintaining deliberate communities to support awareness and implementation of early childhood education programs. Assisting with content creation and dissemination. Ensuring adherence to branding and marketing strategies. System administration, including platform maintenance and identifying and implementing enhancements. Supporting webinars and webcasts to reach audiences of up to 5,000 participants at a time. Training community administrators in using and supporting the platform. Data gathering, reporting, and analytics using tools such as Google Analytics. Using data to drive improvements and grow the community of users. Working with the BLH IT team to quickly troubleshoot and resolve problems.Requirements: Bachelor's degree in a related field. A minimum of five years of related experience, with seven years preferred. This includes: A minimum of two years in Head Start program management. A minimum of two years facilitating the development of online communities. Demonstrated success in developing social guidelines and culture to foster a positive online community. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategies that result in community engagement and growth. Demonstrated ability to analyze, aggregate, and act on qualitative and quantitative data. Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills, including collaboration with multiple external partners and clear and diplomatic oral and written communication. Experience with Agile methodologies. Spanish proficiency is required.
