Director, Transactions & Contracts Counsel

Company Overview : A leading biopharmaceutical company dedicated to advancing treatments for autoimmune and rare diseases is seeking a Director, Transactions & Contracts Counsel . This role will support a variety of business functions, including finance, clinical operations, quality, research, and development. The ideal candidate is a collaborative team player who can operate both strategically and tactically to meet the companys contracting needs. This position offers growth opportunities within a dynamic team as the organization scales. Responsibilities : Contracts Administration : Support general contracting and contracts administration across multiple departments to manage and streamline contracting needs. Contract Negotiation : Prepare, review, negotiate, and execute a wide range of agreements, including: Confidentiality agreements Clinical trial agreements Research agreements Material transfer agreements Supply agreements Statements of work Quality agreements Legal and Business Support : Provide legal guidance for research , development , quality , and clinical operations functions. Outside Counsel Management : Oversee and manage external counsel engagements as necessary. Additional Legal Support : Offer legal assistance across various needs, adapting to the companys evolving requirements. Requirements : Education : Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school, with strong academic credentials . Licensure : Active, in good standing with the bar in at least one U.S. state . Experience : 5-10 years of legal experience, including substantial expertise in contract negotiation and providing business advice . Ideally, experience within a company that has advanced-stage clinical or commercial products . Skills : Strong analytical skills with a solution-oriented mindset . Proven organizational abilities to manage multiple contracts and assignments. Adaptability to changing deadlines and priorities, with the ability to effectively prioritize a high volume of work . Personable and collaborative , with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and external partners. High degree of ethical standards and accountability . Technical Proficiency : Skilled in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint). Travel : Willingness to travel up to 5% . Skills and Certifications : Required : Bar Holder Juris Doctor degree Security Clearance : No Visa Candidate Considered : No Compensation : Base Salary : USD $200,000 to $240,000 per year Job Type : Full-Time Benefits : Full benefits package provided Relocation Assistance : Available for the ideal candidate Interview Travel Reimbursement : Yes Candidate Details : Experience : 5+ to 7 years of relevant experience Seniority Level : Director Management Experience Required : No Minimum Education : Juris Doctor Willingness to Travel : Occasionally Ideal Candidate : Candidates must be admitted to and in good standing with the bar of Massachusetts or be eligible to obtain membership to the Massachusetts bar .
