Overview The Director of Pharmacy is responsible for overseeing all medication storage, preparation and dispensing in the Healthcare System. This individual ensures the provision of efficient, quality pharmaceutical care to inpatients, outpatients and all other customers of the organization. The Director of Pharmacy is also responsible for planning, organizing, directing and evaluating the Pharmacy Department on a continuous basis. He/she participates in budgeting activities, resource allocation and strategic planning for the department and its services. The Director supports and promotes the mission and vision of the institution. EDUCATION REQUIRED Degree from an accredited College of Pharmacy EDUCATION PREFERRED None LICENSURES OR CERTIFICATIONSREQUIRED Currently licensed to practice pharmacy in the State of Georgia LICENSURES OR CERTIFICATIONS PREFERRED Participation in local, state and national healthcare organizations EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Pharmacy and management experience in a healthcare system EXPERIENCE PREFERRED 8-10 years healthcare system experience 2-4 years in a management position
