Our client, N Street Village is looking for a Director, Permanent Supportive HousingAbout N Street Village N Street Village is a community of empowerment and recovery for homeless and low-income women in Washington, DC. With comprehensive services addressing emergency and long-term needs, N Street Village helps women achieve stability and make meaningful gains in their housing, income, employment, mental health, physical health, and addiction recovery. N Street Village also provides affordable rental housing for low and moderate-income individuals and families. Position Summary The Director of Permanent Supportive Housing is responsible for overseeing and managing the operations of N Street Villages' site-based permanent supportive housing programs, which provide case management support and crisis intervention services. The role involves supervising five (5) Program Managers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services, and maintaining compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements. Program Oversight Oversee program activities' planning, implementation, and evaluation to ensure they meet the client's needs and adhere to the organization's mission and goals. Ensure programs meet organizational goals and objectives and comply with funding and regulatory requirements. Monitor program performance, analyze data, and prepare reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement. Ensure timely submission of monthly reports required by TCP, DHS, Medicaid, and N Street Village. Conduct regular meetings with property management entities located at each site. Provide in-service training for all permanent supportive housing staff on relevant topics such as trauma-informed care, person-centered planning, motivational interviewing/stages of change, and grief and loss. Develop and implement protocols and best practices for crisis response and case management ensuring staff are trained and prepared to handle emergencies. Develop and manage the program budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively, and expenditures are within approval limits. Research funding opportunities to support program sustainability and growth. Maintain regular communication with the Senior Director of Housing on issues involving the community, program, clients, and other stakeholders. Stay informed of industry trends, legislative changes, and best practices in homeless services and housing. Leadership and Supervision Provide direct supervision and support to Program Managers, ensuring they have the necessary resources and guidance to manage their teams effectively. Manage the hiring and proper supervision of program staff. Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment that encourages professional development and high performance. Facilitate regular team meetings to ensure the dissemination of pertinent information and assess program needs. Conduct individual bi-weekly meetings with direct reports to understand client and programmatic concerns and successes. Compliance and Quality Assurance Conduct regular audits and reviews to maintain high service delivery and program integrity standards. Coordinate with the Director of Data and Evaluation to ensure compliance with HMIS/TCP and OCTO/DHS data requirements Stakeholder Engagement Build and maintain relationships with external partners, including community organizations, government agencies, and funders. Represent the program at meetings, conferences, and other events to promote its goals and achievements. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or related field (Master’s preferred). If licensed at the Master’s level, the applicant must obtain the highest credential. Minimum of 5 years of experience in program management or a related field, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. Strong understanding of case management and crisis intervention and stabilization principles. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Skills and Competencies Required Strong cultural competence, including excellent interactions and communication ability with a diverse population Ability to work collaboratively with others to accomplish goals/tasks. Mature abilities in developing interpersonal relations, communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution. Ability to multi-task with strong organizational skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel and learning a database system. Ability to work independently. Flexible, reliable, and dependable. Ability to resolve conflict, problem solve, and create proactive strategies. Strong presentation skills with public speaking experience. Work Environment The Program Director will primarily work on-site and occasionally travel to meetings and training sessions.
