Catering by Michaels is seeking a Director of Sales to lead and inspire our catering sales team. This is a leadership role that requires strong management skills and the ability to drive results through strategic planning, relationship development, and team motivation. The ideal candidate will focus on leading the sales team to success, overseeing account management, and driving revenue growth through exceptional customer experiences. This role does not involve direct selling. Instead, the Director of Sales will mentor and manage a team of sales professionals, ensuring that they meet performance goals while promoting the CBM brand. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Team Leadership : Lead, mentor, and develop a team of sales professionals, setting clear objectives and conducting regular performance evaluations. Strategic Planning : Develop and execute short- and long-term sales and marketing strategies to drive revenue growth. Relationship Building : Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, industry influencers, event planners, and venues. Cross-Department Collaboration : Partner with the Operations team to ensure seamless execution of events, from planning to delivery. Performance Monitoring : Track sales metrics and provide regular reports to senior leadership on team performance, market trends, and opportunities for improvement. Client Experience : Oversee client negotiations and problem resolution, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and brand loyalty. Budget Management : Manage the sales department budget, including tastings, entertainment, and client gifts. QUALIFICATIONS Proven experience in a sales leadership role, preferably in the catering, hospitality, or event management industry. Strong team management and mentorship skills. Ability to develop and execute sales strategies and meet business goals. Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills . Strong analytical skills to assess performance and market trends.
