We are looking for a Director of Sales who will spearhead our college counseling sales and partnerships nationally from a base in New York. Job Description The Director of Sales will be responsible for driving the growth of our services, expanding our market presence, and fostering strategic partnerships. This role requires a dynamic leader with a strong background in education, sales, and relationship management. You will be based out of New York City, but have general flexibility regarding your daily work location, adjusting to the needs of your duties, which will include: Managing a pipeline of daily college counseling leads to satisfy monthly and annual sales and revenue targets. Collaborating with our VP of College Counseling to develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with the company’s vision and goals. Shadowing current sales leaders within Guidewell Education to better understand the company’s current position, mission, values, and opportunities. Spearheading individual sales opportunities with potential college counseling clients, and educating them on our services and the industry as a whole. Building relationships with college counselors around the country, in order to most effectively distribute leads to the right counselor once families are ready to engage. Identifying new market opportunities and trends in the education sector. Building and maintaining relationships with individual clients as well as schools, educational organizations, and other stakeholders. Cultivating partnerships with private banks and other third party organizations with interests in the college counseling space Leading the sales team in achieving revenue targets through effective sales strategies and training. Collaborating with the Guidewell Education marketing team to design and execute campaigns that promote our services and increase brand awareness. Providing feedback on industry trends to inform marketing strategies. Cultivating strong relationships with current clients and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. Analyzing market data and business performance metrics to assess effectiveness and ROI of business development initiatives. Preparing regular reports for the Guidewell Education leadership team on progress and areas for improvement. Requirements Bachelor’s degree 7+ years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing, preferably within the education sector. Proven track record of driving revenue growth and achieving sales targets. Strong understanding of and passion for education, preferably with particular experience in the college counseling industry Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels. Demonstrated negotiation and contract management skills. Ability to analyze market data and make data-driven decisions. Proficient in CRM software and other business development tools. Compensation Salary: $125,000 - $150,000 depending on experience Annual bonus of up to 20% of salary.
