Job Summary: The Director of Growth is a direct report to the President and Chief Operating Officer This opportunity requires a strategic thinker" and growth minded individual (i.e., no lone rangers) approach to sales, suggesting the following qualities: articulate, confident but not arrogant, impeccable integrity, results oriented, enthusiastic, self-starter - desire to win, team orientation, the temperament to follow through to completion, tenacious, persistent, and entrepreneurial with a desire to win and innovative. Responsibilities and Duties: Responsible for the development and implementation of strategic growth plans. Help company define markets and identify trends within a specific market. Partner with executive management team to assess and improve current business processes. Directing organization's strategic and long-range goals. Conducts organizational reviews to identify strengths and weaknesses and to evaluate growth effectiveness. Manage business team to develop business strategies to achieve company goals Oversee daily activities of business team. Provide guidance and direction to team members as needed. Recommend business improvements based on market and competitive trends. Work with the team to develop innovative business techniques and models. Identify business gaps and propose corrective actions. Perform root cause analysis of potential problems and provide effective resolutions. Develop business cases based on business analytics and competitive intelligence. Develop business plan and complete all due diligence activities. Perform business modeling to optimize business functionality and performance. Collaborate with various departments to collect business data to complete timely analysis. Succeeding in a complex sales environment through development and implementation of sound sales strategies and business plans to build and expand sales within vertical and horizontal markets. Participate in, proposal development, technical support, and customer service. Prepare account plans/proposal strategies and assume responsibility for the implementation of plans. Contact perspective customers to build relationships, advise on new products or offerings and resolve problems. Manage all markets to achieve sales objectives; develop plans to increase revenues and improve market position. Plan and participate in technical/product presentations/demonstrations/trade shows. Prepare status reports on activities in the all markets; recommend potential areas of business and new/enhanced products to management. Providing regular briefs to corporate senior leadership on status of market and corporate positions. Responsible for and oversees proposal process. Qualifications: Must have an established and verifiable background in small business growth and Government Contracting strategies. Transparent and high integrity leadership skills. Be a “self-starter” and goal driven. Be organized and exhibit “follow through” on tasks and goals. Strong problem solving skills. Strategic business thinker “Big Thinker” with superior analytical skills. Persuasive, strong relationship builder with excellent networking skills. Strong communications and presentation skills. Must be capable of independently meeting with and briefing senior government officials. Demonstrated and verifiable experience in Federal government business opportunity assessment, preparation of customer proposals, negotiation of customer agreements and project implementation management. Successful, proven, and verifiable track record of growing small businesses. Education/Certification Requirements: Minimum Bachelor’s degree in business or technical field. Master's Preferred. 8 to 10 years of previous experience in Federal Government business opportunity assessment, preparation of customer proposals, and project implementation management is a plus. Active involvement in trade associations preferred.
