As the Director of Expansion, you will lead all aspects of new products and new geography launches for the company. The position will report directly to the SVP of Operations. We believe that in person collaboration is critical for TopView Group’s continued success, therefore this role will be a full time, on site position at our current office located in Midtown NYC. This role will entail travel, both domestically and internationally, of about 25%. Some weekend and holiday availability may be required from time to time. TopView Group, a well-established sightseeing company with over a decade of successful operations in New York City, is currently experiencing rapid growth on a global scale. Powered by in-house technology, TopView Group creates one-of-a-kind experiences for everyone around the world. Our rapidly growing portfolio of products provides a variety of popular adventures, including hop-on hop-off bus tours in NYC and London, special events such as Tea Around Town and North Pole Express, sightseeing and event cruises, bike rental and tours, walking tours, and Attraction Pass. We are also planning to expand to Philadelphia, Washington DC, San Francisco, and many other exciting locations. Responsibilities: Manage and coordinate all product and geographical expansion and launch efforts, including planning, regulatory & licensing requirements, infrastructure establishment, vendor sourcing, operations set-up and start-up activities Develop and manage project plans for all future product launches and geographical expansions Collaborate effectively with various internal stakeholders like marketing, legal, finance, HR, operations, hospitality, IT, etc. as well with governmental agencies and 3rd party vendors Ensure projects proceed and are completed in a timely, efficient and cost-effective manner Establish required infrastructure and ensure operational readiness at launch sites Hire, develop and team a team of expansion specialists Participate in identification, negotiating and purchasing processes for new assets like buses, boats etc. to support company’s expansion plans, as required Support RFP processes to find and select the right vendors, and negotiate on pricing and terms Participate in hiring and training of local team members to run newly launched products and geographies Create standard operating procedures and document best practices for launching new products and geographies in a streamlined manner Develop financial models for new launches and help prioritize competing launches Develop KPIs to measure success of new launches Perform any other tasks as assigned Qualifications: To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications: Degree in an applicable discipline, preferably in business administration or engineering Minimum of 10 years of experience in leading expansion projects or new launches Strong project management skills Ability to establish priorities and manage workload Ability to comprehend and interpret technical information present in a variety of forms, including but not limited to engineering drawings, engineering specifications, architectural drawings, standard operating procedures, governmental regulations etc. Experience with various productivity, project management and financial suites like Google Workspace, MS Office Suite, Monday.com, ClickUp, SAP, Netsuite etc. Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization Experience negotiating with vendors on price, quality and payment terms Familiarity with building and interpreting financial models Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (preferred) Join our dynamic and dedicated team at TopView World and contribute to our continued success in delivering exceptional sightseeing experiences to guests worldwide.
