Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) is looking for a Direct Primary Care Physician to provide care for SEL employees and family members at our on-site health clinics. Enjoy a great work life balance with no on-call work and scheduled hours!As a Direct Primary Care Physician, in the SEL Health Clinic a typical day might include the following: * Provide high quality primary care to SEL employees and family members of all ages with an average of 8-16 clinic visits per day. * Supervise Nurse Practitioner ancillary staff in the SEL Health Clinic. * Monitor and evaluate the outcomes of the SEL Health Clinic, including clinical and provider services. * Maintain up-to-date knowledge base and continually expand clinical care aptitude. * Engage in education of all Health Clinic staff to improve the healthcare literacy of SEL. * Develop clinical research questions and answer them with data. * Engage in and promote activities that improve price transparency in healthcare and lower healthcare costs at SEL and in the community.This job might be for you if: * You place a high value on developing true long-term patient-physician relationships, spending ample time educating and empowering in longer clinic visits, and strongly believe that the fee-for-service model doesn't fit true primary care. * You are a licensed as an M.D. or D.O. in good standing * You are Board Certified in one of the primary care specialties * At least five years of clinical experience as a health care provider in a primary care, urgent care or emergency department setting * Current CPR, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification * Excellent leadership, communication and presentation skillsWe would prefer if you had: * Previous Experience with supervision of Nurse Practitioners * Previous Experience with PediatricsLocation Lewiston, ID- This position is located at SEL's state of the art manufacturing facility in Lewiston, ID where you'll enjoy an unmatched quality of life.
