Description:
Serve as the primary developer for all financial Essbase and Dodeca databases. Responsible for the end-to-end development and maintenance of reporting, analytical systems on an Agile team, including being responsible for accuracy and timeliness of data. Develop, tune, coordinate, monitor and maintain Oracle, Essbase and Dodeca databases. Maintain automated processes used to refresh data and structures in Essbase Applications and to create output supporting downstream systems. Document projects, detail testing and provide implementation instructions. Share best practices with teammates and assist in researching, developing and troubleshooting related Essbase and Dodeca products. Minimum - Bachelor's Degree Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, Mathematics, or equivalent experience - 2+ years of experience in a public company, an accounting center or public accounting firm or equivalent experience - 2+ years of experience with reporting solution applications or equivalent experience - Advanced knowledge of Excel - Excellent oral/written communication skills - Excellent time management skills; ability to maintain performance under pressure Desired - Any experience in working across financial, reporting, data and analytics technologies - Any accounting center or audit experience - Mastery knowledge of Essbase and Dodeca development and architecture - Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and/or Business Objects - Ability to articulate and present financial systems requirements in a clear fashion to both business and technology audiences - Strong problem solving and organizational skills - Ability to execute project work with contacts outside the department and company - Ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects - Foundational knowledge governance and internal controls - Intermediate level knowledge of data architecture, management and financial reporting - Strong understanding of relational and/or OLAP databases- Gather requirements for proposed reporting solutions for efficient discovery work and documentation - Develop unit testing for architecting and designing reporting within our financial reporting systems using best practices and application service functions - Identify business requirements, translate into technical specifications and solution development for data/cube related Essbase and Dodeca functionality/logic - Execute full testing with documented results and failure resolution - Maintain database and reporting structures and process flows - Implement efficient and flexible code for future/expanded use - Deploy appropriate software tools and quality assurance practices - Work with manager for prioritization and stakeholder identification/management - Provide on-the-job training to team members and training to users - Mentor team members in software development principles, patterns, processes and practices - Work collaboratively with other developers - Adhere to company development standards and change control practices - Must be able to perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation
