We are is seeking a full-time Design Engineer II to support contract work out of San Diego, CA. ACTIVE SECRET CLEARANCE REQUIRED Responsibilities: Develop and compare alternative layouts or designs, which utilize equipment of various kinds and capabilities. Work on preliminary designs and specifications and evaluating the numerous and frequent change in design and performance which affect the assigned equipment prior to and during production. Submit test requests and interact with the testing group as necessary Applies technical knowledge to designs and ensures projects meet specifications Communicates challenges with regard to scope, schedule and quality Qualifications: Active Secret Security Clearance Bachelor's Degree Engineering or Industrial Design 3 years professional experience in mechanical, structural or electrical/electronic Skills: Excellent oral and written skills. Excellent critical thinking skills. Proficient in Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
