Located in Bend, OR Salary: $19.00 Grocery Retail Deli Clerk Job Summary: We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-service oriented Deli Clerk to join our grocery retail team. The Deli Clerk is responsible for preparing and serving various deli products, maintaining a clean and well-stocked deli area, and providing excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare and package deli items such as cold cuts, cheeses, salads, and sandwiches according to customer requests and store standards - Slice and portion deli meats and cheeses using appropriate equipment and techniques - Maintain an attractive and well-stocked deli case, rotating stock and ensuring proper labeling and pricing - Assist customers at the deli counter, providing friendly service and answering inquiries about products, ingredients, and preparation methods - Adhere to strict food safety guidelines, maintaining cleanliness and proper handling procedures - Monitor inventory levels and communicate with the deli manager to ensure adequate stock levels - Operate and maintain deli equipment, such as slicers, scales, and refrigeration units - Contribute to the overall cleanliness and organization of the deli department and surrounding areas Qualifications and Skills: - Prior experience in a grocery retail deli or food service environment is preferred - Knowledge of deli products, preparation techniques, and food safety regulations - Strong customer service skills with the ability to provide friendly and knowledgeable assistance - Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills - Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and ability to lift moderate weights - Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with team members - Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed If interested in this position please call 541-389-XXXX to schedule an interview. #3124LI Express Office: Bend 296 Southwest Columbia Street Suite B Bend, OR 97702
