What to expect: Kowalski's deli is a face-paced and high customer service department. Our deli associates are inviting and service-minded while reaching our professional sanitation and cleanliness standards that keep our full-service deli fresh and worthy of high-end service expectations. Deli associates are responsible for building right relationships with their coworkers and customers through transparent and respectful communication. They are also responsible for serving the highest quality and freshest ready-to-serve foods by adhering to state health code standards for safety and sanitation. No experience is required! Kowalski's provides extensive, in-person, hands-on training that will educate new employees on how to perform their jobs safely, quickly, and efficiently. Requirements: Must be 18+ Flexible to schedule 20-39 hours per week Must be available evenings. Call time is between 12PM-1PM. Shifts end by 9PM Must be available most weekends and some holidays Comfortable speaking to customers in an energetic and helpful manner Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment Interest in preparing, handling, and cooking food Interest in product knowledge Understand that you have the power to impact customers and coworkers day in a positive way Food-handling experience is not necessary Benefits: 20% Kowalski's discount Weekly pay Vacation and holiday pay Annual company picnic Holiday parties Employee appreciation luncheons Scholarship opportunities 401k plan This position is part of the UFCW local 1189 Union, which provides: Guaranteed raises Ancillary benefits Employee assistance programs Scholarship opportunities And more!
