The ideal candidate will have over seven years of experience and the ability to manage complex pre-trial caseloads. This position offers an opportunity to join a highly respected firm and contribute to significant cases within a hybrid work environment.Duties:Manage all aspects of the pre-trial process, including depositions, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.Maintain a personal book of business with a portable client base.Navigate Pennsylvania state and federal court procedures and ensure compliance with filing deadlines.Travel to court appearances and other legal events within Pennsylvania and the surrounding region.Effectively communicate and build rapport with clients, attorneys, and staff.Utilize Microsoft Office programs and document management systems (e.g., iManage) to maintain accurate case files.Requirements:Minimum of 7+ years of experience in defense litigation, particularly in commercial litigation or insurance defense.Licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania; additional bar admissions in New Jersey and/or Florida are a plus.Proven track record in managing high-volume caseloads and meeting deadlines.Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and handle projects simultaneously.Strong legal research, writing, and communication skills.Education:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:Active Pennsylvania Bar license (required).New Jersey or Florida Bar license (preferred but not required).Skills:Excellent research, writing, and analytical abilities.Strong organizational skills with acute attention to detail.Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook), and familiarity with document management systems like iManage.Effective interpersonal communication skills.Job Location:Philadelphia, PABenefits:Health insurance: 90% employer-paid for individual coverage; additional coverage for spouses and family available at group rates.Dental insurance: Available for both individuals and families at group rates.401(k) retirement savings plan.Paid vacation and sick leave.Life insurance coverage.Short and long-term disability insurance is available at group rates.
