Practice Area: Finance - Banking , Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 5 Years, A law firm in Washington, D.C., is seeking a Debt and Leveraged Finance Counsel to join their growing corporate group and debt and leveraged finance practice. The ideal candidate will work on a variety of debt transactions, including syndicated credit facilities, asset-based loan facilities, subordinated loans, and acquisition financings, primarily representing borrowers. Experience with technology or life sciences companies and familiarity with out-of-court insolvency or restructuring transactions is advantageous.Duties and Responsibilities:Manage and advise on a wide range of debt and finance transactions, focusing on syndicated credit facilities, asset-based loans, working capital facilities, subordinated loans, equipment leasing, and acquisition financings.Represent borrowers in negotiations and transactions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.Provide strategic counsel on out-of-court insolvency or restructuring matters as needed.Collaborate closely with clients and internal teams to deliver comprehensive legal solutions.Stay current with industry trends and regulatory developments affecting debt and leveraged finance.Requirements:JD from an accredited law school; admission to the Bar in Washington, D.C.5-8 years of experience in leveraged or banking finance with a strong emphasis on borrower representation.Proven track record in handling complex debt transactions, preferably with exposure to syndicated credit facilities and acquisition financings.Experience with out-of-court insolvency or restructuring transactions is a plus.Superior academic credentials with excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.Affinity for technology and/or life sciences sectors is desirable.Skills:Strong negotiation and drafting skills with attention to detail.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.Team player with the capacity to work independently and collaboratively.Benefits Offered:Healthcare coverageLife insuranceHealth Savings Accounts (HSAs)Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs)Wellbeing programs This firm is one of the nation's acknowledged best in intellectual property work.This medium sized DC firm, with a major office on the West Coast, is made up attorneys who fill the halls with some pretty erudite conversation.
