Supervises the day-to-day operations of the merchandise control and accuracy control teams. Ensures controls are in place to maintain integrity of all merchandising, legal, and quality control philosophies. Builds effective teams through training and continuous development.Engage, develop, and empower Merchandise Control (MC) Associates through frequent and candid conversations to improve individuals and teams.Review and react to Merchandise Control staffing needs to ensure accurate front-end flow and operational efficiency.Partners and assists Operations and the Home Office Planning team in meeting business priorities.Ensures MC Associates are following Best Practices for PO/item changes and proper research is conducted such that PO issues are resolved accurately and timely.Partners with Photo Studio and Operations on the resolution of Photo RejectionsEnsures Damages/Return to Vendor/Mark out of Stock are identified and processed according to established guidelines.Advise the MCM (Merchandise Control Manager) of operational changes that impact the department and partner with other operations leaders to develop flow strategies.Establish goals in partnership with MCM to uphold accuracy/quality standards. Ensure cross functional coverage of front end needs through development of MC process knowledge.Ensure smooth shift-transitions via ongoing communication with Supervisor peers.Provide continuous direction to MC Associates regarding proper work methods to increase accuracy, associate performance, and productivity.Maintain a safe, happy workplace by advocating and modeling integrity and safety principles. Who We Are Looking For: You. Must be shift flexible.2- or 4-year degree in Merchandising, Supply Chain, Business, or Retail is preferred, but not requiredWork experience in Retail or a Fulfillment/Distribution Center is preferred, but not required.Ability to communicate effectively and interpret policies and proceduresAbility to coach and counsel non-exempt AssociatesStrong organizational and time management skills as well as flexibility and ability to prioritize.Demonstrated ability to informally influence, empower teams, and manage conflict.Strong reasoning, analytical and problem-solving skills under pressureMust have proficient technical skills in Outlook, Word, and Excel We care about our culture, but we also prioritize your needs!
