Overview Coves at Columbus is looking for a Day Porter (Janitor/Groundskeeper) to join our team. The Day Porter (Janitor/Groundskeeper) will clean, sanitize, and maintain both public and back of house spaces. Job Title: Overview Coves at Columbus is looking for a Day Porter (Janitor/Groundskeeper) to join our team. The Day Porter (Janitor/Groundskeeper) will clean, sanitize, and maintain both public and back of house spaces. Job Title: Day Porter (Janitor/Groundskeeper) Schedule: Full Time; Monday-Friday 8a-5p; rotational on-call weekend shifts Job Type: Full-time Location: Coves at Columbus Company Website: https://www.covesatcolumbus.com/ Compensation: $15-$19 Hourly; commensurate with experience Benefits: PTO, Holiday Pay, Health Insurance after 60 days About you: High school diploma or GED preferred Detail-oriented, confidential, and professional Ability to read and speak English Ability to lift 50lbs Ability to climb multiple flights of stairs and walk the property Performing tasks that may require bending, stooping, or reaching, such as checking under desks or inspecting areas that are difficult to access Education & Experience Preferred Education: High School Diploma or equivalent and relevant certifications Core Responsibilities: Included but not limited to: Regular cleaning of lobbies, hallways, elevators, stairwells, and laundry rooms. Maintaining cleanliness of outdoor common areas like parking lots, sidewalks, and recreational space Periodic cleaning of units as per schedule or during tenant turnover. Mowing lawns, trimming hedges, pulling weeds, laying mulch, watering plants. Painting of doors and parking lines Gutter cleaning/downspout repairs Power washing sidewalks and buildings Repairing building signs Conduct daily or weekly safety inspections of the building and grounds. Identifying and reporting any safety hazards or maintenance issues to the Property Manager or Maintenance Supervisor. Shoveling snow from walkways and applying ice melt to prevent slips and falls. Collecting and disposing of waste from common areas Trashing out empty/abandoned units. Calling trash companies for special pickups if applicable.
