Infinity Natural Resources is seeking a Database Administrator to support our growing team. In this position, the successful candidate will play a vital role in collaborating across our teams to design, implement and support our data initiatives. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand their business needs and provide efficient and effective proposals, support and implementation of solutions to business needs. This is a full-time onsite position and can be based out of our office location in Morgantown, WV or Houston, TX. What You Will Be Doing: Maintain existing databases and data structures with a focus on business continuity. Work with stakeholders, technical staff and management to design and propose a data road map designed around data efficiency and integrity. Continuously implement data handing methods for new data requests meeting best standards. Optimize database performance and make security recommendations, to ensure data integrity and availability. Troubleshoot database issues and help with support requests from internal and external stakeholders. Assess, propose and implement data recovery procedures. Develop and maintain database documentation and standards. Stay up to date with the latest database technologies and trends. Your Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field required. Will consider an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience. 3+ years of experience as a Database Administrator or a similar role. Strong proficiency in SQL and a major database management system (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server). Experience with database performance tuning, backup and recovery procedures, and security best practices. Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Perl) is a plus. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with employees, contractors, vendors, and key stakeholders. Must be able to perform light work – exerting up to 15 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. See, hear, talk and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and visual acuity; kneel, sit, stand, walk, crouch, stoop, reach, pull, push and other similar, repetitive tasks requiring physical activity.
