Reporting to the IT Team Lead, Strategic Support, the Database Administrator holds the overall responsibility for SQL database administration, including daily monitoring, maintenance, problem management and support for multiple SQL environments. The successful candidate will contribute to the ongoing development and maintenance of our data warehouse, as well as work with other members of the IT team to improve applications and establish best practices. Do you have what it takes? Develop and implement backup/restore, monitoring and automation functions, Perform cloning, patching backup, recovery and performance tuning of SQL systems, Maintaining documentation and troubleshooting practices for current knowledge base, Design, test and troubleshoot SQL scripts and ETL processes, Design, test and troubleshooting of SQL scripts and ETL processes, Experience with automations tools such as TFS and Redgate, Involved with support and maintenance of third-party applications, Collaborating with vendors and service providers, Other duties as required. What you will bring to the role: You are a team player with great interpersonal skills, and strong communication abilities, As a high energy self-starter with a positive mindset, you excel at troubleshooting and database administration, Preferably have 5+ years of experience in a database administration SQL environment, 3+ years of ETL design and development with SSIS, Knowledge of RDBMS and SQL scripting and Data warehouse experience will be considered an asset, Experience with Azure SQL and Azure Data.
