Requisition #: 11274 Functional Area: Data Analytics; Marketing Employment Type: Full time Work Options: Work remotely from home in the US Work Hours: Standard Business Hours Travel Requirement: Up to 10% Job description This position is responsible for creating predictive data models, trends, assumptions and recommendations to deliver business insights and data-driven decision-making tools/info for Sales and Marketing. This position will collaborate with Sales and Marketing associates to evaluate sales and marketing opportunities and to understand the core business objectives, strategies, structure and drivers. The Data Scientist may work remote from a home-based office within the US, or at our Neenah Corporate Headquarters. Job duties Provides accurate and actionable business-focused insights related to Sales and Marketing. Develops and implements predictive models and algorithms to optimize revenue, cost containment and profitability. Examples include but are not limited to: Marketing campaign test designs and model development (i.e. Decrease DM expense by 50% while getting 80% of the results) Lead Scoring At risk customers (i.e. Evergreen products: Encompass, SMS, etc.) Buyers journey – content marketing; understanding how to deliver the right content, at the right time, to the right people Lifetime value of the customer Pipeline analytics Next product recommendation Engagement scoring Partners with Data Architect to establish a data strategy for Sales and Marketing to create a mature data management and advanced analytics ecosystem. Collaborates with key stakeholders to explore opportunities to develop data driven solutions by developing and utilizing statistical modeling and machine learning algorithms. Understands data requirements, sources and structure to support key stakeholders. Stays abreast of and applies industry and technology trends, as well as emerging tools and techniques, relevant to data analytics. Takes a lead role in the business planning process related to the forecast, sales quotas (sales) or billings and revenue (non-sales). Requirements Background: 2+ years of background using statistical and other advanced mathematical problem-solving skills in a Sales or Marketing environment. Background mining large data sets including structured and unstructured data, writing advanced algorithms derived from big data infrastructure, and developing predictive and prescription analytics models. Background writing SQL queries; SAS background a plus. Subscription-based background with churn/retention management experiences is a plus. Education: Bachelor’s degree in applied mathematics, computer science, engineering or statistics-related position. Master’s degree preferred. Other Skills/Requirements: Excellent teamwork skills with an expertise to build relationships across competencies. Expertise to drive adoption of Sales and Marketing data strategy and create buy-in into data-driven opportunities. Must have good communication abilities, presenting complex quantitative analysis to non-technical marketing/sales decision makers. Expertise to develop knowledge of machine learning to apply machine learning at scale. Physical demands Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment. Work involves operation of personal computer equipment for extended periods of time. Occasional travel to offsite offices, customer sites and/or industry and training events may also be required, depending on assignment. Other Info At J. J.
