This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of clients across multiple industries, assisting them in navigating complex legal issues related to privacy, cybersecurity, and data management. The role involves providing legal counsel on compliance, litigation, and regulatory matters within a dynamic and fast-evolving practice area.Duties:Represent clients in complex privacy and data security matters, including litigation related to TCPA, BIPA, and data breaches.Draft and advice on privacy policies, ensuring compliance with relevant laws.Assist in negotiating data-sharing agreements and handling privacy diligence in MA transactions.Participate in other general commercial litigation matters as required.Deliver high-quality legal work and provide clear communication with both clients and internal team members.Exhibit problem-solving abilities, enthusiasm, and creativity in advising clients across various sectors.Actively seek feedback and mentorship to improve performance and develop expertise in the practice area.Build strong relationships with clients and colleagues while networking to develop future business opportunities.Requirements:3-5 years of experience in breach and privacy compliance litigation at a law firm.Certified Information Privacy Professional/United States (CIPP/US) credential preferred.Licensed to practice law in Illinois or the ability to waive into the Illinois bar.Strong interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills (both written and verbal).Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks under tight deadlines.Willingness to travel as required by client needs.Education:J.D. degree from an ABA-accredited law school.Skills:Strong organizational and analytical skills.Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.Proficiency in understanding privacy and cybersecurity laws across various industries.Job Location:Chicago, ILBenefits:Comprehensive medical and dental insurance.Life and disability insurance.Student loan refinancing and consolidation services.Open/flexible vacation policy.401(k) retirement plan with employer contributions.Generous paid parental leave.Workstyle and well-being support programs.Ongoing legal training and professional development opportunities.
