Data and Spatial Analyst - Basildon £20-22ph Full Time / Hybrid Duties/Responsibilities: To develop and support application of geographic information-based monitoring systems throughout the Council. Support the Council’s review of the current GIS product Cadcorp To create and maintain geospatial map layers to assist with business requirements and functions. Document the data architecture and environment in order to maintain a current and accurate view of the larger data picture. Create, develop and maintain corporate datasets including checking data within key customer facing ICT systems to ensure compliance with agreed standards. To lead on the promotion of the use of best practice and make recommendations within the Council in the use of corporate datasets, including appropriate corporate standards for data security and Data protection, in accordance with the Council’s Information Governance Framework”To maintain and distribute digital maps the Council receives under the Data Co-Operation Agreement DCA. To develop and maintain appropriate GIS and property links to key identified Council systems. To create and maintain spatially related meta-data and GIS data analysis and reports as required.
