You value diversity and embrace change.The CVI Case Manager reports to the CVI Department Director. This role is responsible for participant recruitment, career planning, goal setting, and weekly job readiness training workshops for program participants. This position requires the staff to make independent and discretionary decisions and to work independently and with minimal supervision and guidance. This position is responsible for a wide range of activities to include but are not limited to: Conduct initial intake assessments to prospective participants. Verify program eligibility and provide referrals for alternative services when necessary. Collection of client information and data entry into database in a timely manner. Maintain accurate case notes/files, record and track data relative to an individual's assessments. Coordinate with community partners as to prospective participant's status and needs. Communicate with prison/jail personnel including parole/probation and court officials. Responsible for the curriculum delivery and class development, which includes motivational sessions; professional development; goal setting; orientation to work-place expectations; communication skills; basic skills testing; basic computer use; basic workplace skills; job search skills; job applications, resume writing, interviewing, etc. Counsels participants using established Motivational Interviewing practices. Facilitates psycho-educational group workshops.
