Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Custodian to join our team. The Custodian will be responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe environment in all areas of our property. This includes performing routine cleaning tasks, handling special projects, and ensuring that all maintenance and cleanliness standards are met. Key Responsibilities: Cleaning Duties: Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors. Clean and sanitize restrooms, including sinks, toilets, and mirrors. Empty trash receptacles and replace liners. Dust and wipe down surfaces, including desks, countertops, and furniture. Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors. Maintenance Tasks: Report any maintenance or repair needs to the supervisor. Assist with minor repairs, such as changing light bulbs or unclogging sinks. Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are properly stored and maintained. Special Projects: Perform seasonal cleaning tasks, such as window washing or carpet cleaning. Assist with moving furniture or equipment when necessary. Safety and Compliance: Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Use appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment safely and effectively. Comply with all company policies and procedures, including those related to security and confidentiality. Customer Service: Respond to cleaning and maintenance requests from staff and tenants in a timely manner. Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor when interacting with tenants, staff, and visitors. Qualifications: Experience: Previous custodial or janitorial experience preferred but not required. Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Skills: Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds. Attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks. Good time management skills and the ability to work independently. Basic knowledge of cleaning supplies and equipment. Strong communication skills. Other Requirements: Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed. Reliable transportation to and from the worksite. Ability to pass a background check and drug screening. Working Conditions: Environment: Work is performed primarily indoors but may include some outdoor tasks. Physical Demands: The role involves standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods. Compensation: Competitive hourly wage based on experience.
