Payments would be: • $500 at 30 days • $500 upon conversion Shift- 4am-1pm; maybe some OT; M-F 500,015 Sq Ft DC(medi-surge, acute care supplies General Labor- pallet removing, basic painting, sweeping, mopping warehouse area- NO bathrooms, indoor, floor-level custodial tasks. 1st Day Orientation - Workbook covering site level policies, safety lifting practices steel toe shoes- shorts okay face mask( required and provided) and gloves (provided if needed) JOB SUMMARY: Performs custodial and light maintenance duties throughout the division. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 1. Empties trash containers. 2. Cleans parking lot and truck loading areas. 5. Ensures aluminum, plastic containers and waste paper are recycled. 6. Cleans and lubricates overhead doors and loading dock plates. 7. Operates hydraulic press uses for bailing of corrugated materials. 9. Sweeps, vacuums, washes and waxes floors. 10. Cleans and maintains cafeteria, break room, customer service area, lobby and general offices. 12. Maintains current Owens and Minor drivers file for van deliveries. QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION & FORMAL TRAINING: Basic knowledge of arithmetic, English, and grammar. Accuracy in checking, posting, and counting. Simple use of automated office equipment. Adaptable to clerical routines. Equal to a high school diploma. WORK EXPERIENCE: Over three months (up to and including) one year. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES: General knowledge and use of hand tools. EQUIPMENT, TOOLS AND WORK AIDS: WORKING CONDITIONS AND ENVIRONMENTAL HAZARDS: 1. Outside working conditions. 2. Undesirable working conditions; Exposed to noise, dust, heat, oil, fumes or other elements with one continuously present to the extent of being disagreeable, or with several elements present to the extent of being disagreeable, but usually not more that one at a time. STRENGTH REQUIREMENT: Frequently lifting or moving medium weight materials in excess of 20 pounds up to 50 pounds. TYPE OF PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Acuity: Near clarity of vision at 20 inches or less. Accommodation: Adjustment of lens of eye to bring an object into sharp focus. This item is especially important when doing near-point work at varying distances from eye. Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction. Handling: Seizing, holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with hands. Fingers are involved only to the extent that they are an extension of the hand. Fingering: Picking, pinching, or otherwise working with fingers primarily (rather than with whole hand or arm as in handling). Stooping: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires full use of the lower extremities and back muscles. Crouching: Bending the body downward and forward by bending leg and spine. Kneeling: Bending legs at knee to come to a rest on knee or knees. Climbing: Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms. Body agility is emphasized. This factor is important if the amount and kind of climbing required exceeds that required for ordinary locomotion.
