Practice Area: Employment Law - General, Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 4 Years, Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a Corporate/Employment Counsel to join its team in Irvine, CA. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of employment law experience at a nationally recognized law firm and demonstrate expertise in advising on a wide range of employment-related matters. This role requires excellent academic credentials, strong writing skills, superior organizational abilities, and a client-focused work ethic.Duties and Responsibilities:Advise clients on employment-related compliance issues, including worker classification, wage and hour regulations, immigration, unions, collective bargaining, and equal opportunity laws.Draft and review employment agreements, separation agreements, and restrictive covenants.Guide reductions-in-force and WARN Act compliance.Conducted due diligence and handled employment-related representations and covenants in transaction documents.Assist in developing and updating employment policies and handbooks.Represent clients in employment-related disputes and negotiations.Collaborate with internal teams and clients to address and resolve employment law issues.Requirements:Minimum of 4 years of employment law experience at a nationally recognized law firm.Proven expertise in advising on employment-related compliance, drafting agreements, and handling employment law matters.Membership is in good standing with the CA Bar or eligibility to waive.Excellent academic credentials.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:Admission to the California Bar or eligibility to waive in.Skills:Strong writing and analytical skills.Superior organizational and multitasking abilities.Strong client and team-focused work ethic.Ability to handle complex employment law issues and provide practical solutions.Proficiency in drafting and reviewing employment-related documents.
