Company: Chevron Federal Credit Union Industry: Banking Job Title: Core Banking Systems Manager Location: Remote Type: W-2 Full-time Supervises: 3 Direct Reports Salary Grade: $96,000 - $165,000 (depending on geographic location, experience, andeducation) GENERAL SUMMARY: The Core Banking Systems Manager manages the coordination of the analysis, design, integration testing, implementation, and support for Symitar and supporting applications to meet institution and end-user requirements. Qualification Requirements: Experience: Minimum of 5 years related experience and/or training required. Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science from four-year college; plus 5 years related experience and/or training. Experience with Jack Henry’s Symitar system, PowerOn (Repgen), and SQL query language experience is required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for stated qualifications. Knowledge of relational database management systems is highly desired. Experience working with the following is highly desired:*SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) *SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) *SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)*SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) Ability to write and speak effectively in English using correct spelling and grammar. Ability to effectively use all applicable banking and loan systems. Basic math skills including the ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages using a 10-key. Proficient in the use of basic applications in a Windows-based environment, including Outlook, Word, and Excel. Excellent customer service skills. Responsibilities: Manages and oversees the daily and periodic operations of our core banking system (Symitar) and related application platforms. Evaluates third-party business applications and participates in contract discussions. Manages relationships with vendor account managers and technical contacts. Reviews, schedules and assigns work requests and projects under the Host Services queue. Utilizes project management tools to balance staff workload and schedules. Keeps up to date with industry trends and recommends credit union management new applications and processes. Responsible for managing the design and creation of business applications to improve efficiencies and accuracy related to Symitar. Assists in streamlining processes through automation and new technologies. Works with project managers, vendors and third-party software providers to develop processes and planned schedules for release and integration. Owns the relationship between Host Services and other business units and departments. Works closely with end-users to understand their business needs and to help them leverage the most appropriate technology and service. Provides general problem determination and resolution as well as end-user support on all Host Services managed platforms and applications. Develops and mentors the Symitar Systems Analysts. Provides internal and external training to staff as needed. Addresses staff concerns and schedule requests. Plans and oversees the configuration and implementation of upgrades and releases for Symitar, OpCon, OnBase and other related supporting technologies. Evaluates and coordinates vendor enhancements with internal training department and functional users. Leads and coordinates a full range of programming tasks, including program design, program coding, debugging and documentation. Reviews and approves code from Host Service’s and other Engineering staff that involves, but not limited to, database manipulation and reporting. Provides data extraction and data downloads from Symitar and develops reports using relational database tools and technologies, populates data marts/data warehouse. Determines the appropriate system for resolution of client requests. Defines, publishes, and promotes standardization of correct development channel for end user and member support activities. Manages current functionality and roadmap expectations to evolve the credit union’s standards. Manage, coordinate and lead Business continuity and Disaster recovery procedures. Maintains and audits Symitar and related platform security and procedures. Conducts meetings as necessary to capture project requirements and decisions. Participates in credit union Management Committee to make recommendations to senior management that initiates positive change.
