We are on the hunt for an extraordinary Copy Editor This individual will be responsible for DigitalMarketer's blog content (from 1st draft to publication) as well as the creation of original content and content based on source material (video, webinar, podcast, etc.) for DigitalMarketer faculty members (our SMEs). We've got quite a pair of shoes to fill, and we hope you're up for the challenge [ Critical functions Write original blog posts based on research, targeting 1 or more of DigitalMarketers customer avatars Ghost write from original source material (video presentations, podcasts, webinars) to repurpose content for the blog, LinkedIn Pulse channel, etc. Manage blog content from 1st draft to publication including line edits, structural edits and fact checking Format content in WordPress (includes: resizing of pictures, adding cross links and calls-to-action, etc.) Perform keyword research and work alongside SEO Manager to properly optimize blog posts ist in the transfer of content into Digital Marketers membership portal including video text, audio and image content Work in conjunction with the Content Marketing Coordinator to meet deadlines on the blog, podcast and premium content Work in conjunction with the Social Media Manager to coordinate the distribution and scheduling of new content on Digital Marketers social channels This is an in-office position. Qualifications Skilled writer: produces clear, concise, and grammatically correct copy; ghost writing background wanted Keen understanding of the different language styles that appeal to various target markets Excellent interpersonal and communication expertise Adept researcher Demonstrated project management expertise Highly self-motivated and well-organized A passion for digital marketing (Ok, so maybe passion is a little strong, but you should at least be able to spell SEO) Must be coachable enough to learn from those who have more background, but independent enough to do your own thing when you truly believe your idea is the right idea A near-obnoxious, but not overly-obnoxious, attention to detail. In other words, people who work with you should be occasionally annoyed by you, but still like, and above all else, respect you.
