As a Full-Time Empanada Cook, you will be responsible for producing our signature empanadas according to our recipe and standards. This role requires culinary expertise, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering exceptional food quality. While prior experience in cooking is preferred, we are willing to train candidates who have amateur cooking experience and demonstrate a strong willingness to learn and improve. Responsibilities:• Prepare empanada fillings/dough and assemble/cook empanadas according to our recipe and specifications.• Obtain ServSafe certification (trained and certified on-the-job)• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen workspace.• Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are consistently met.• Collaborate with the team to develop new recipes and improve existing ones.• Follow instructions from management and adapt to changing requirements. Qualifications:• Prior amateur experience in cooking• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately.• Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and techniques.• Reliable and able to work independently as well as part of a team.• Flexibility regarding kitchen location; ability to work from a personal kitchen or a professional kitchen in Arlington, VA area.• Access to reliable transportation (public or private) Compensation: $12 hourly About Company: Mpanadas is a small, family-owned business in Arlington, VA.
